at home mama: Rose||Two Months Old

Breastfeeding: Rose is still exclusively breastfeeding on demand. During Rose's 12 day stay in the NICU following her birth, she took a bottle of my milk for all of her feeds. I was so scared Rose wouldn't want to breastfed when she got home and we wouldn't be able to continue because I don't have time to pump and then bottle feed it to her! Since being home, she has done so well nursing that the 3 or so times we have tried to bottle feed her it has been a struggle. This is both good and bad. Rose loves nursing so much that she doesn't want to take a bottle, but bad because if I do go out without her and she gets hungry its hard on Matt. Rose eats every 2 to 3 hours during the day and every 3 to 4 hours at night.

Personality- Near the end of October, Rose started smiling and our hearts all melt every time! It is strange, but she tends to smile the most when her brothers are being loud and naughty! We will be in the middle of explaining why one of them shouldn't have done something and look over to see a big grin on her face ha ha!

Brothers- I know a lot of moms who have said after the first few weeks that the new baby is home the excitement their siblings show dies down. This is not the case in our house! All three boys still adore Rose and constantly want to hold her and touch her hands. It is funny that Rose was a princess for her first Halloween, because she truly is one to her brothers. They worship her and it is the absolute cutest thing I have ever seen!
